Save or Cancel invites you, on the occasion of National Culture Day 2022, to discover outstanding examples of urban art at the online launch of a new edition of the book Un-hidden Street Art in Romania and by visiting the Art in Public Spaces in Romania exhibition.
The project Art in Public Spaces in Romania promotes, in the context of National Culture Day 2022, art as an actor active in urban life and investigates the participatory regeneration of public space as a multi-disciplinary cultural space through reinterpretations of contemporary society, inviting the public to participate in the online launch of the third edition of the printed publication Un-hidden Street Art in Romania through a panel discussion with Pisica Pătrată, Irlo, Petre Ghiocel and the authors, followed by a video retrospective, and to visit an exhibition in public spaces in Bucharest, composed of original drawings and works.

The launch of the publication is composed of a panel discussion with the authors Cristina Popa and Andrei Racovițan, photographer Petre Ghiocel, artists Pisica Pătrată and Irlo, and a video retrospective consisting of 55 video montages making of some of the most remarkable independent artistic works in public space in Bucharest, Brasov, Constanta, documented by the authors and collaborators in the period 2014 – 2021.
The new edition of the book Un-hidden Street Art in Romania, printed with the support of the Ministry of Culture, will be distributed free of charge through the Bucharest Metropolitan Library network.
Art in Public Spaces in Romania exhibition

The exhibition is composed of 10 outdoor boards, visible from the street, showing maps of independent art in public spaces in Brasov, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Sibiu, Targu Jiu and Romania, and more than 20 photographs, works of art in Romanian public spaces, made by artists such as Pisica Pătrată, Livi Po, Serebe, Sandi Bălășoiu, within the projects produced by Save or Cancel, and 10 original works by Serebe, John Dot S, Pasr, iZZY iZVNE, Aeul, Nesk, Oh Boy, Krips, Homeboy LDJ and Livi Po, set inside the Lente urban living room.
“Art in Public Spaces in Romania” is a Save or Cancel cultural project, supported by the Ministry of Culture, on the occasion of National Culture Day 2022.
